The reason
Everyday software can be more respectful.
Too many apps are built to extract: your attention, your data, your money. We believe everyday tools should be simple, honest, and respectful. We used water reminder apps as a worked example of what that extraction actually looks like, because it is the clearest case we know of.
PurposeLab Studio builds apps for real problems. We focus on things people need every day: journaling, hydration, health tracking, baby care. Each app does one thing, does it well, and stays out of your way.
We're an indie studio based in India, building focused products for people worldwide.
How we work
Clear boundaries, not vague promises.
Privacy-First
Zolio stores your notebook on your device by default, with optional backup to the personal Google Drive or iCloud account you choose. WaterWise, BP Log and Hushly keep their core app data on your device. Crumbs works inside WhatsApp, so it processes and stores messages to answer you; its product page and privacy policy explain the services involved. We do not sell personal information or use it for ads.
Honest Pricing
Each product has a useful free experience. Optional paid extras differ by product: Zolio Plus offers monthly or lifetime choices, Crumbs offers optional Pro and Max tiers, and Hushly Premium is a one-time unlock. WaterWise is free, while BP Log has nothing to buy inside it today. See each product page for current details.

Meet the founder.
PurposeLab Studio was founded by Atul Chaturvedi, the developer behind every app here. After years of watching everyday apps fill up with ads, trackers, and subscriptions, he started PurposeLab to build the opposite, small, private, ad-free tools that do one useful thing and stay out of your way.
He designs, builds, and writes for PurposeLab from India, and reads every message that comes in. Most of the writing comes straight out of the apps, including why so many journaling apps end up making people feel guilty, which is the problem Zolio was built around.
