WaterWise — Drink Reminder

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The app stores the following data in a local database on your device only:

• Water intake logs (amount, time, drink type)
• Custom cup sizes you create
• Your weight (used to calculate daily goal)
• Daily goal and streak data
• App preferences (reminder settings, theme, units)

This data is never uploaded to any server. It stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or use the "Delete all data" option in Settings.

Data Sent Off Device

WaterWise sends the following categories of data to Google service providers:

1. Firebase Analytics (Google)

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (which screens are visited, which features are popular). This helps us improve the app.

• Screen views and navigation events
• Feature usage (e.g., "user logged water", "user changed settings")
• App version and device model
• Anonymous instance ID

Firebase Analytics does not collect your name, email, water intake amounts, weight, or any health data. Only interaction patterns (taps, screen views) are recorded anonymously.

2. Firebase Crashlytics (Google)

We use Crashlytics to detect and fix app crashes. When a crash occurs, the following is sent automatically:

• Stack trace (technical error details)
• Device model and Android version
• App version

Crash reports do not contain your personal data or health information.

3. Play Install Referrer (Google)

We use the Google Play Install Referrer API to understand how users discover the app (e.g., from a search or a link). This data is anonymous and collected once at install time.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or phone number
• We do not collect your location
• We do not collect photos, contacts, or files
• We do not sell any data to third parties
• We do not use advertising SDKs (no ads at launch)
• We do not require account creation or login

Children's Privacy

WaterWise does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages (content rating: Everyone) and does not require any personal information to function.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time:

• In-app: Go to Settings → Delete All Data
• Device-level: Uninstall the app (all local data is removed)
• Analytics: Firebase Analytics data is automatically deleted after 14 months per Google's retention policy

WaterWise uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google)
• Google Play Services

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
